Brighton Chamber is unique
We’re different because Brighton itself is different, and our members reflect that. They’re innovative and energetic, inclusive and supportive, purposeful and dynamic. Our membership is hugely diverse, from sole traders of start-ups to directors of international businesses. We cover all sectors including not-for-profit and education. We go out of our way to get to know our members’ businesses and support them however we can.
The Chamber is the beating heart of business in the city. We’re central to the entrepreneurial activity and collaboration that makes Brighton special. We’re trusted and respected by businesses throughout Brighton, whether they are members or not.
Our focus is to help our members. That is the purpose that drives everything we do and everything we think about. A joyful side-effect is that we help the city’s wider economy to thrive too. We are independent and not for profit.
Some of our successes are:
- Catch the Wave. A business support programme for start-ups, social enterprises and established businesses, providing affordable workshops, resources and expert mentoring sessions.
- The Brighton & Hove Living Wage campaign. Brighton is a wonderful place to live, but no-one can pretend it’s cheap. We’ve been at the forefront of the campaign for Brighton employers to pay their staff a wage they can live on, rather than one they can just survive on. More than 550 businesses have already signed up, and it’s growing.
- Brighton Summit. A hugely popular annual conference with inspiring speakers, thought-provoking workshops and excellent networking opportunities.
