Make Change Count charities call to help Brighton homeless in 2026
This new year, Brighton and Hove’s leading homelessness charities are urging local businesses and residents to support Make Change Count – a year-round campaign that helps people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes.
These organisations work together to provide vital services, from emergency accommodation to outreach and long-term support.
Since 2016, Make Change Count has united organisations providing essential services, from emergency accommodation and outreach to mental health support and practical help. The charities involved include:
• YMCA Downslink Group
• Antifreeze (Off The Fence)
• BHT Sussex
• SIG Equinox, Brighton Women’s Service
• YMCA Brighton
• Sussex Nightstop
• The Clock Tower Sanctuary
• Brighton Streets Outreach Service, CGL.
Together, they offer a lifeline to those in need, helping individuals move away from the streets and towards safety, stability and independence.
With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to hit hard, the need for coordinated support has never been greater. Make Change Count gives businesses and individuals a simple way to make a real difference. Instead of giving money directly on the street, donations to this campaign fund professional help and essential services – giving people the best chance to rebuild their lives.
We’re asking Brighton Chamber members to join us in supporting this vital initiative. Your contribution will help provide food, shelter, healthcare, and long-term solutions for those who need it most.
