Volunteer roles available - The Careers & Enterprise Company
'Just take a tiny step. Just #GiveAnHour.'
It could be a call with a student. It could be a mentoring session. Maybe #CV prep advice. Whatever you can give, in terms of time and expertise - we would love to hear from you.
Can you give an hour to support a student to prepare for their #BestNextSteps?

Please message Penny Daly for more information about #volunteering with the West Sussex, Brighton & Hove Careers Hub.

Want to help #makeadifference? Join the 2025 Volunteer Programme and help support students in various ways. Whether you can offer career advice, sit-down for a 1-2-1 support session or share your industry expertise and strategic guidance, your knowledge is a valuable asset to students and the schools that support them.

Can you give an hour? Our Careers Hub supports a network of schools and colleges and we invite you to make a difference in young people's career choices by giving an hour of your time to inspire and inform students.

As an Industry Champion, you can offer valuable insight with students, helping them make future career choices. There are varying levels of involvement so you can choose what works best for you, from attending careers fairs, to offering mentoring schemes or running mock interviews. This will also boost your brand's profile in the local area and forge connections with potential hires, educators and other businesses (it's a win-win)!

Enterprise Advisors are the cornerstone of the careers education we provide. They are self-employed business owners and employees that make a lasting impact on future pathways for students by helping to build strong careers programs. Volunteering as an Enterprise Advisor allows you to use your skills and experiences to provide students and educators with a 'real world' understanding of career pathways. This will also help schools to tailor their careers education, ensuring that students feel inspired and supported. This role can be attached to a specific school, or you can be an 'Agile Enterprise Advisor' providing knowledge and expertise to all.
We are currently looking for an Enterprise Advisor that could support the careers team and Head Teacher at Varndean School. We are looking for someone to raise aspirations and is keen to work both strategically and operationally with the team at the school. If this sounds like you, message Penny Daly for more information.
