Q1 2025 News - Intelligently Designed Workspaces Delivering Value

The Phoenix Systems design and fit-out teams have had a busy start to 2025 working across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire on white box fit-outs and office refurbishments. New leases on industrial units has led to increased demand for meticulously planned all-in-one office, storage and production spaces needing mezzanines and pallet racking. Here’s a quick outline of just three of the projects the team has been working hard on in Q1.
Worthing Hospital - University Hospitals Sussex - NHS Foundation Trust Office Reconfiguration & Refurbishment
Having successfully delivered an office fit-out in 2024 to create training rooms in a new building, Phoenix Systems was selected by the Trust to deliver the next stage of the project to refurbish the old building and turn it back into office space.
The 2-month programme involved reconfiguring room layouts, installing new lighting, power and data layouts, ventilation, flooring, decoration, partitioning and carpentry.
By taking a value engineering approach, Phoenix Systems was able to help the Trust save significantly on their original budget. As a result, the freed up budget enabled them to significantly increase their scope of work to include additional projects on top of the original planned programme with Phoenix’s team running the projects concurrently and to deadline.
Bayagan Group - Brighton Empty Unit Fit-Out - Office Creation - High Bay Pallet Racking - 2-Tier Mezzanine
Brighton-based, health and beauty innovators, Bayagan Group chose Phoenix Systems to fit out their new large warehouse unit. The project includes the construction of a 2-tier mezzanine to provide office space, toilets and a kitchen block while the main warehouse area has been configured for an optimised storage, packing and fulfilment area with high bay pallet racking to 7m.
Hanover Displays - Lewes - East Sussex Office Fit-Out - Warehouse Fit-Out - Pallet Racking Installation
Work has continued at pace for our repeat client, Hanover Displays in Lewes. In Q1, we completed the second phase of a reconfiguration and refurbishment of their office and production space on the ground floor of their main unit. This year, Hanover Displays took out a lease for a second unit on the industrial estate which also required a re-fit. Running both projects concurrently, Phoenix Systems has undertaken a full refurbishment of the office space including new ventilation, toilets and a kitchen. In addition, the team has designed the storage layout and installed pallet racking.
“As usual, we’re really proud of the work the team delivers for our clients. We’re always focused on creating workspace and storage layouts that drive productivity and return-on-investment for the long-term and that’s only made possible with a keen eye for detail and value engineering.”
