BrightonandHoveJobs Pledges Support for Four Local Charities

Chamber members BrightonandHoveJobs.com have announced that they will be supporting four local charities in 2012. Out of all the applications they have pledged to support:

1.    Rockinghorse - the charity that makes life better for sick children in Sussex
2.    Grace Eyre – a charity to help people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove gain independence, obtain housing & find employment
3.    Impact Initiatives and their Young Peoples Centre - for young people aged 13 to 25 who need some support and stability in their lives
4.    The Martlets Hospice - helping people to live life as fully as they can, right up until the end

The announcement follows the launch of the company’s charity initiative in February which invited local charities to apply for support from BrightonandHoveJobs.  There was a flurry of applications from all types of organisations along the Sussex coast and beyond but the foremost criterion was to offer support to charities that help people in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas.

Gary Peters, Founder of BrightonandHoveJobs, said: “Choosing between all the charities was genuinely a difficult and testing process. However, I am delighted with the organisations that we have chosen and am extremely confident that this project will have a positive impact on both their businesses and the volunteering community in general."

BrightonandHoveJobs will support their four charities with free recruitment for both volunteer and employee positions; fundraising and networking activities and awareness raising through its website and e-newsletters.

Gary  continued: "Whilst supporting every charity with money is not physically possible, we are delighted to proactively support the third sector and have offered everyone who applied free volunteering recruitment for 2012 when using BrightonandHoveJobs.”

At the end of the year it is proposed that a joint fundraising and networking event will be put in place. Should anyone like to show their support with auction items or sponsorship for this event please contact: info@brightonandhovejobs.com

If you are a charity or not for profit organisation and you need to recruit volunteers please contact BrightonandHoveJobs on 01273 872287 for free advertising to support your cause.
