79% of FTSE 100 firms use it. Are you?

79% of FTSE 100 firms use it. Are you?

Next week we are running a half day workshop on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Susan Carroll from Scala Advance talks about the benefits of MBTI and how it can significantly improve the workplace.

You’ve probably heard of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. But do you know how it can help you be a better leader? Great leaders understand the people they lead, and MBTI can provide that understanding, offering powerful insight into relationships and behaviour.

The MBTI was inspired by the work of Carl Jung into psychological type. He established that people take in and organise information in different ways. As his theory was developed, the 16 different personality types of the MBTI emerged.

Using MBTI at work
Ever felt baffled by the way a colleague has behaved? Or confused that your own reactions sometimes feel out of step to those of your team?

Our working days are full of interactions and reactions. If you don’t understand how or why others’ reactions differ from your own, it can be hard to lead effectively, even if you really want to understand. The MBTI can help you gain that understanding, allowing you to strengthen your relationships with your team, clients and colleagues. And with stronger relationships come tangible business benefits.

For example, the RAF uses MBTI to save millions every year by lowering their student dropout rates. By understanding what makes people tick, they can foster a productive business environment that works for everyone in it.

79% of FTSE 100 companies have an in-house qualified MBTI practitioner. 70% of Fortune 500 companies also use MBTI. It rests on a huge knowledge base, with over 12,000 published articles and a huge community of practitioners and experts. It’s not just for ‘people people’, but for anyone who works with others. And that’s all of us.

Take half a day to learn about MBTI
We’re running a half-day MBTI workshop on Tuesday 22nd November, from 9am-2pm. Come alone or with your team, and learn how MBTI can help you develop the kind of deep understanding of yourself and others that you need to be a brilliant leader.

Included in the ticket price is your MBTI assessment report, which will give you highly valuable insight into your own preferences and leadership style.
