The Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove
Since 1988 we have been providing family Carers with emotional support, advice and a well-deserved break from their caring role. We are one of the four partners of The Carers Hub project.
Many carers can find themselves understandably overwhelmed by the pressures a caring role can bring. Perhaps they struggle to enjoy a life outside of caring or are impacted physically and emotionally by the role. The Carers Centre has experienced staff who are skilled at promoting resilience and empowering carers to take back their independence.
The Carers Centre provides a range of peer-support groups and workshops for Adult Carers who live in the City of Brighton & Hove. These include coffee mornings and informative events on topics such as manual handling, first aid and coping with stress.
Juggling work and care? – We have a dedicated worker supporting Working Carers.
