Grassroots Suicide Prevention
Our vision is a future where more lives are saved from suicide.
In the UK, 120 people die by suicide every week. We are working to change that. We do know that suicides can be prevented with timely intervention and anyone can learn these life-saving skills.
We can all reduce the stigma around suicide by campaigning for change and talking about it openly.
Our experienced trainers deliver standard and bespoke courses for individuals, groups and businesses. Grassroots Suicide Prevention's online and offline courses cover suicide, self-harm, mental health, talking about suicide and other key topics.
Stay Alive is our award-winning suicide prevention app for anyone thinking about suicide or worried about someone. We also provide a range of resources to help keep people safe, including a print version of the app, an interactive 'Real Talk' film and downloadable toolkits.
Our expertise is powerful because it includes not just clinical and frontline experience, but also lived experience. We regularly present at conferences and provide consultancy around suicide prevention strategies and safe campaigning.
We campaign at regional and national level to create change. We influence critical strategic conversations as members of suicide prevention strategy and network groups across the UK.
We work in partnership with businesses and organisations to help further our work through fundraising, collaborating or taking part in our training, there are lots of ways to show support from your business.
We rely on funds to continue and expand our life-saving work. We secure funds form a number of sources including grants, corporate partners and individuals. You can donate, raise awareness, attend a training or get involved in fundraising for us.
