Netwalking: Hove’s hidden histories

How much do you know about the hidden history of Hove’s green spaces?

For our next Netwalking event, it’s all about Hove (actually). We’re starting off in the secluded gardens of Bodhisattva – a meditation centre sat within an acre of secluded gardens hidden from the main road – a secret oasis in the heart of Hove. We'll fuel up with a cuppa at their cafe and take wander through their gardens on our way to St Anne’s Wells.

As well as one of Hove's most loved parks, St Anne’s is also home to chalybeate spring (considered one of the finest natural springs in Europe) and has an interesting past as a filming location for some of the first films made in the 1800s.

We’ll stop along the way as our Netwalking guide, Rohun Bouri (Lab Manager at Eagle Labs), talks about the spaces and places we see; creating easy points to move naturally between conversations. It’s an easy-going event where chat flows as you walk and have meaningful conversations.

Netwalking has been a staple of the Chamber events calendar for over four years, and we’ve walked and talked our way all over Brighton (and beyond), from art trails on the seafront, to bluebell hunts in Stanmer Park and explorations of Lewes. So, come along to meet people at a different pace whilst discovering new places in your local area.

A quick heads up 🐾

As much as we adore our four-legged friends, the Bodhisattva is a meditation centre and doesn't allow dogs on site. Please leave your pups at home for this one so you can fully enjoy the peaceful grounds and their lovely café!
