Leading through change: AI is not the strategy – leadership is

By Brighton Chamber

> Book now

You and your team are probably already using AI – whether that’s every now and then or day-to-day use that’s already embedded in how you run your business.

If you’re bringing on any other type of new software or process, you’d have a strategy, a leadership plan. But has the AI hype caught up with how you lead?

Led by Matthew Wilkinson, Founder of Authentic Learning, this session bridges the gap between AI hype and practical leadership. Helping you step away from the day-to-day, Matthew will give you the strategic headspace to cut through the noise and move beyond the tools and trends. You’ll focus on the real leadership shifts required to lead people, culture and performance confidently within an AI-enabled business.

Designed to get you talking with your peers, we’ll cover:

  • What AI really changes for leaders (and what it doesn’t).
  • What’s expected around judgement, trust, ethics and decision-making.
  • How to lead teams through change – and the uncertainty that comes with it – created by AI adoption.
  • Where and what human skills matter more than ever; from clarity to empathy, accountability and critical thinking.
  • Practical questions for leaders about roles, capability and culture.

You'll also have short peer-to-peer discussions on real leadership challenges the people in the room are facing, and reflection prompts to sense-check your current approach.

Come away with a clearer leadership mindset for navigating AI (without needing to be a technical expert). You’ll understand where to focus your time and energy in the next 12 to 24 months, with practical reflections and actions you can take away to your organisation and teams.

Who’s this session for? Anyone running and leading a growing business.
