Consultative selling: Building a groundwork for sales success 

Whether you call yourself a salesperson or not, we all have to sell – our ideas, our services, our businesses. And right now, when money is tight and competition is fierce, getting sales over the line can feel tougher than ever. 

So how do you stand out from the crowd without dropping your price? By shifting the focus from pushing products to solving problems – and building the kind of trust and credibility that keeps clients coming back. 

In this interactive workshop with Chamber member Peter Reynolds from Consultative Selling Solutions, you’ll explore the mindset and techniques behind consultative selling – a strategy that moves the focus away from products and towards your clients’ real needs to help get those sales over the line. You’ll learn how to adapt to different buying styles, ask smarter questions and use active listening to build the groundwork for better sales success.  

Through practical exercises you’ll learn ways to build rapport and credibility from the very first conversation and how to keep that trust growing over time. The goal? To move beyond competing on price, and instead differentiate your business through value, performance and quality. 

You’ll come away with: 

  • Practical ways to build instant rapport and credibility 
  • A process for asking the right questions to uncover real client needs 
  • Listening techniques to understand what your clients say – and what they don’t 
  • A clear, repeatable approach to building stronger, more profitable relationships
