Workshop: Tame your mind monkeys to reduce stress & overwhelm
Learn practical tools to calm stress, tame mental overwhelm and create a calmer, more balanced life.
This workshop is designed to have us walking away with a much better understanding of stress and how it fits into our lives.
We'll understand ourselves and our stress responses better, learn tools, techniques and advice to put into action immediately, and see how we can gain back control of our minds and bodies when stress is overwhelming us.
Our expert facilitator, Margaret Sinclair, will be explain how stress works, why it's not all bad, and how our bodies and minds react when stress becomes a constant.
Margaret will teach us how to tame the monkeys in our minds that constantly point out all the things we should worry about. And teach us that those monkeys aren't trying to cause problems – they're trying to protect us.
We'll go through what to do in the moment when stress is causing overwhelm, as well as understand how to create a life that is lower in daily stress. Because if our lives are less stressful in general, it makes it easier to feel overwhelmed.
You'll take away:
- An understanding of what stress is and why it has the effect it does on us
- How to calm stress and overwhelm in the moment
- How to build simple tools and routines into life that help you stay calmer and happier
- How to set yourself up for better sleep (less sleep = more stress)
- Why pets are amazing... even fake ones
