Not another one!

Not another one!

If I opened up this blog by saying you must go to an event which will change your business forever, my guess is you will probably stop reading and consign this note to all the other things you read with what appear to be wild promises.  How many times do you  open up your in-box and find a load of  emails inviting you to sign up to something, join a group, go to a webinar or event, meeting and so on.  On top of all that, you find that Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook are full of exhortations to do different things.

And the range of stuff is pretty random too, ranging from improving business, conventional sales, social media advertising, networking, the latest theory, “free” stuff and so on. I actually sift through this stuff to work out what is worth taking action on. There is always something to learn or a different take on an issue, and as a business coach I take my own learning very seriously.

The issue for me, and I hope for you, is how to sort out the “dump”, “not worth it”, “not relevant” “interesting” , and  “really must go to” .  I apply two simple criteria: is the person or organisation behind whatever it is credible; and is there anything that will make a difference to my business or that of my clients. I find this gets rid of about 80% of my inbox!

There is one event that ticks both of these boxes big time. It is called “Brad Uncensored” intended to provide hard truths, facts and ideas for business owners who want to grow businesses. It is run by Brad Sugars the CEO of ActionCOACH, a global coaching business. I must declare an interest - I am a licensed business coach with ActionCOACH, and OK, I would say this wouldn’t I, but bear with me.

Brad Sugars is credible. He has built up several business, is a regular speaker at events, published best-selling books.  He actually has set up and run successful significant businesses so he has really done it. Too many business speakers don’t have that strong track record and speak from a kind of academic theoretical wish-list.

Secondly, “Brad Uncensored” is really in-your-face stuff, no holds barred. In 2 or 3 hours, he will spell out what you need to do (and not do) to grow your business.  Much of this will be uncomfortable, but based on hard experience, not theoretical or “good to know” ideas.

So, if you want to develop or grow your business, you must go to this event which will change your business forever!

“Brad Uncensored” is on 14th October Lingfield (other events at other dates throughout UK), 6pm onwards, £10 per seat.  Go to www.actioncoach.com/andrewabaza/events  for details,  call Andrew Abaza on 01273 604727 or email andrewabaza@actioncoach.com.
