Enterprise Thursdays at the University of Sussex

Enterprise Thursdays events are organised by the University of Sussex enterprise team. They are free and open to all students, staff, alumni and the local business community. They will feature a speaker and some networking over refreshments kindly sponsored by Harveys Brewery, Forfars Bakery & Barefoot Wine.

Thursday 28th October: Polly Pomfrey, Whoopie Pie Creator and founder of Polly's Patisserie, www.pollyspatisserie.co.uk - "Having Your Cake and Eating It!" - Polly will be talking about how she has managed to turn her passions into her career

Thursday 4th November: Helen Day, Co-Founder of H2oh! Entertainment, www.h2ohentertainment.com - "From Sussex Student to Walking the High Wire" - Helen claims that she is an 'accidental entrepreneur', we'll be discussing if that's possible!

Thursday 11th November: Julia Chanteray, Founder of The Joy of Business, www.thejoyofbusiness.co.uk - "Key Success Factors: How Not to Risk It All" - Julia will be giving her top tips for starting a new venture

Thursday 18th November: Andy Mead, Founder and Managing Director of Firefly Solar, www.fireflysolar.co.uk - "Eco-Entrepreneur Lights up the Festival Scene" - Andy will be talking about his not-for-profit company, that provides lighting to festivals like Glastonbury and Bestival

Thursday 25th November: David Curry, Founder of CEO of Le Singe Media, www.lesingemedia.co.uk - "Keeping the Creative Edge in the face of Global Competition" - How does a small Brighton company compete in a global market? David will be giving his top tips.

To register for the events please go to www.sussex.ac.uk/enterprise and sign up. All events take place at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) on the Sussex campus, from 17.30, with the talks beginning at 18.00. The evenings usually wrap up around 19.30-20.00.
