Brighton Summit 2016: A blog from our sponsors Cardens Accountants

Headline Sponsors Cardens Accountants and Business Advisors write about what they enjoyed most at the Brighton Summit.

The vibrant mix of genders and ages is one of the biggest things our team noticed about the day last Friday. A thoroughly action-packed business summit with plenty of difference, from ‘brain gym’ and dancing sessions on offer through to back-stage tours of the local independent cinema and a closer look at virtual reality.

One of our favourite sessions was ‘How to be a Productivity Ninja’ with Think Productive.  As a result we’re already asking our team: ‘What makes you feel energised?’ and ‘what makes the team feel more energised?’ A strong couple of questions to keep asking throughout the next year…

So far our answers have ranged from ice-cream and sea-air (lucky our offices are very close to the sea) to running workshops and taking the daily-grind out of accounts for clients!

I think the thing is – it’s good to pick a handful of things that make an immediate impact on you, along with a few others to ponder and to really make time to regularly revisit them. I know that’s what I plan to do. I’m also going to implement this plan with two new ‘productivity ninja’ friends I made on the day – networking at its best, a spot of group motivation. We’ll help each other keep the business fire in each of us stoked for the next 12 months. Make the most of your new connections and maybe pick something you can do in a similar way.  Whatever it is – enjoy taking your business dreams and desires forward.

See you next year.
