The British Athletes Commission is encouraging local businesses to support British athletes in the build up to the 2012 Olympics.

Unlike a conventional sponsorship arrangement, Sussex businesses are being asked to purchase copies of the Sussex Invitation Book. This book is published in 9 regions across the country, including most recently, Brighton, Hove & West Sussex. It is a discount voucher and savings directory with hundreds of pounds worth of discounts and special offers, ideal as part of a staff benefits scheme.

In return, the company will receive regular articles, blogs and interviews with the elite sportsmen and women they are supporting, use of the British Athletes Affinity Club logo, and the chance to win a visit from an elite athlete.
