The ‘Green bus’ Pop-up Breakfast
We’re back! Our July pop-up breakfast will be a real life, 3D, in-person breakfast at Moshimo. And as we journey back to normality, it’s fitting that our speaker should be from Brighton and Hove buses.
Local boy Patrick Warner is Head of Innovation Strategy at the bus company. And he’s a key player in the fight against the misconception that buses are gas-guzzling vehicles used by people who have no other mode of transport.
Already in Brighton, we make more bus journeys per head than any region except London. Patrick is now helping revolutionise the buses to make them some of the greenest in Europe. We’ve already seen the introduction of micro-hybrid low emission buses on a number of cross-city routes. Future plans include the launch of the world’s first commercially led hydrogen-powered fleet.
Patrick’s currently on part-time secondment to Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. He’s helping them deliver their first 20 hydrogen buses next year while preparing a strategy that will eventually see the decarbonisation of the entire regional fleet.
So, switch off your screen, salivate over the thought of a breakfast cooked by someone else - and join the Chamber team and Patrick in July. We can’t wait to see you.
